    I’m a Himalayan 450 owner . I agree with the used to thing and capability . It’s a very good bike but there are lot of manufacturer issues . And they don’t solve it .

    This is one of the best bikes in its section after Hero Xpulse 4V, the latter is the chepest and gives all the comfort one can ask for whereas the former is top notch in required tork, much needed bhp and accelation. I must say try both before making your decision.

      correct, Xpulse is incomparable as it has set standards for a true adventure/dirt bikes in India as of now.

    never change oem headlights. go for aux lights in case of need. Also remove that crashguard .

    If u think u wont be going off roading much.. vstorm 250 is a great touring machine.. will save money, give highest peace of mind unlike RE

    To Owner - Remove those crash guards. They are mounted by removing the bolts which holds engine and chassis. You might face problem of breaking the chassis..

      RE will take time to deliver quality Bro, I took test ride of Himalayan, the engine sounds like a Auto Rikshaw and I did not feel like I am riding a 3 L+ bike. KTM Adv is so so much better, and also Suzuki V Storm is very refined.

    Milaga is totally wrong. I too own a Himalayan 450 . And in traffic it hardly gives a milaga of 26max . Maybe this brother dont stops much in traffics. Or the traffic is less. But on highway i got a milaga of 42 max. And in traffic it produces a lot of heat . And this bike is top heavy . It take some strength to pull up from stand . Apart from that while riding it feels good . We dont feel the weight much .

      @@frox9295 I am also surprised that 450 cc engine can get you 42, technically also it does not look possible. If we are on downhill any machine can confuse us, I have seen my Honda CRV mileage was 30 kmpl, downhill.🙂

    I am using it almost 4months i made 5.8k km in banglore traffic every one is looking at me how this big bike is gliding through traffic.....on high way i reached 162 top speed but my consern is about chassis breaking with some manufacturing issues

    Jo bhi ho bhai chassis tutna nahi chahiye tha peheli bhi yehi problem tha ab fir yehi ho raha hai aur hero xpluse ko dekh lo itne kam price me majboot chiz de raha hai

      Hero xpulse cant be compared with Himalayan, xpulse is completely a different machine, Himalayan can never reach close to that when you do serious adventure, Himalayan is mostly for long tours, not for city riding, not for serious off-roading.

      ​@@tomersanjeev Here we are talking about chasis, even after so much beating xpulse stays the same, but the himalyan 450 bikes(very few of them) are falling apart for whatever reason, which shouldn't happen anyway possible. Potential customers gets scared because of that

      @@akashmazumdar9917 true, I was going to purchase Himalayan 450 for my son who is 6 feet 4, as only adventure bikes were best fit for very tall people, I considered Himalayan 450 but I just imagined about the bike chassis is broken with even 0.01 % of probability for any damn reason, and I switched to other options without a second thought, got XPulse Rally edition. XPulse is super light and real fun to do off-roading.

    Yes , Himalayan is not even close to scrambler 400 X .

      If u want a reliable bike dont go for royal enfield, they are playing with emotions of Indians and not giving value for money bikes, no innovation also, and these RE fanboys are boosting the bikes where they should be criticizing it.     I clocked 5k km now cons are
    1.Right side pulling
    2.Gear slipping
    3.Timing chain sound
    4.useless cluster map.
    5.cone set sound( now it's ok after tight from service centre)
    All four can adjust but that bloody timing chain sound is totally annoying...
    Wait for that tick tick tick tick sound from your machine my dear himi friends..

    Naya bike main itna kuch modification karwake rakha hain ki, aage kaal kuch problem hogaya bike main toh warenty ke aandar hote huye bhi RE company wale bolenge ki yeh owner ka hi fault hai, itna kuch karne ko kon bola tha bhai tumhe!! 🤣🤣
